 Phoenix. – June 29 the Mission, with the consent of the Glendale church, of which it was a part, organized as a separate church.  Brethren Ed. Folk and Ira Jones were elected to the office of deacon. And Bro. D. D. Thomas was chosen elder of the church. June 25 Sister Ida Landes was elected Sunday-school superintendent and president of the Christian Workers.  Bro. J. J. Gilbert, of Los Angeles, Secretary of the District Mission Board, spent a week here recently in the interest of the work of the Mission Board. He expressed himself as being pleased with the condition and progress made here.  He also favored us with several excellent sermons, which were much appreciated.
