Verde.—Bro. Peter Forney, and Bro. Herman Gertes and wife, arrived here from Glendale, Ariz., July 15, remaining with us about three weeks. Bro Forney preached ten soul cheering sermons while here. Meetings were considerably hindered by rain. July 29 Bro. Forney organized a church here, under the name of the "Verde" church, and held a council. Three deacons were elected, and Bro. Forney was chosen as elder. Twenty-five members were present at the organization. A love feast was held the same evening. Our Brethren from Glendale left us Aug. 4.—Nettie Wallingford, Aultman, Ariz., Aug. 6.
