From Knoxville, Ark.

Bro. Joel Watenharger, from Northern Missouri, a deacon, and the writer took a trip to the Boston Mountains, to hold some meeting and effect an organization, with the help of Eld. J. H. Neher, of Palestine.  The latter failed to come, so after preaching several days, with fair interest, we announced council for the 19th.  The members all met but one.  The fifteen members present, by unanimous consent, decided to organize by electing one minister and two deacons.  The lot fell on Bro. George Luke for minister and brethren James Dannels and George Slape for Deacons.  They were duly installed. Sister Celia Carwood was appointed agent for the Messenger and corresponding secretary. Her address is Spence, Newton Co., Ark.  A great work has been done in the vicinity by the paper and tracts.  It is one of the most encouraging mission points I have ever worked.  Can we not induce some faithful minister to more among these dear members?   Henry Brubaker
