(More before this)

After being home a few days I went on, to assist Bro. S. N. McCann. After preaching a few times, I concluded to let Bro. McCann continue his meetings, and go to Palestine and have a few meetings there.  This i did to the best of my ability, but felt lonesome without one brother, or sister or friend, - not even one face that I had ever seen to know, was present.  Here we had three evening meetings, with fair attention.  We then returned to Bro. McCann, where we partially organized the little band of members at that place into as good working order as we could.  I then returned home to attend to the work there, while Bro. McCann still staid a few days longer.  The visible results of his work at that place were, four baptized and one reclaimed that had once been a member.  Bro. McCann is now holding meeting at Fairmount, a point six or eight miles from here. And for all blessings and success in gospel work we desire to give God the praise.  Jas. R. Gish.  Stuttgart, Ark
