Bethel. – The church at this place had cause for great rejoicing, recently, when one was brought into the fold. This was our first addition by baptism and we were made to feel that our labors have not all been in vain. Our love feast was held Sept. 15, in the home of Brother and Sister D.  J. Root, with thirty-two members present.  This was a most impressive service and brought strength to the body as well as spiritual blessing to the soul. The Sunday evening meetings have been turned into a Bible study class, with Bro. D.  C. Glick as teacher.  They are proving very interesting as well as instructive.  The delegates to District Meeting gave their report Oct. 16.  Many interesting things were brought home to those who could  not attend,  the report, which evidently bore 6the most weight, was from the Sisters’ Aid Society, as the sisters of our church met Oct. 27 for the purpose of organizing themselves into the most helpful capacity. Mrs. H. J. McDaniel, Chowchilla, Calif., Oct. 31.
