Sacramento Valley Church met in council Dec. 26, with our elder, Bro. J. Overholtzer, presiding. Two letters of membership were read.  We decided to organize another church, to include Elk Creek and Stonyford.  They have about twenty-four members.  Among this number there is one elder, on second degree minister, and two deacons.  Bro. J. Overholtzer was reelected elder of our church, Bro. Fagg was reelected Sunday-school superintendent, and Bro. Ferrnando Costa, Christian Workers’ president. – Ruth Overholtzer, Glenn, Cal., Dec. 19.

Elk Creek. – March 30 our elder, Bro. J. Overholtzer of the Sacramento Valley church, labored with us for three weeks.  He delivered the Gospel Messenger in a very simple yet earnest manner, and much good was done in the name of the Lord.  For the past three years this has been a mission point of the Sacramento Valley congregation. Now we have a very nice building, and membership of twenty-two, April 10 we organized into a separate congregation,  with Bro. W. E. Whitcher, of Stony Ford, as elder, and Bro. I. L. Feightner, of Elk Creek, as resident minister.  Much credit is due the latter for his assistance in building, and in the organization.  Sister Cella Barnhart was chosen church clerk. The writer is Messenger agent and D Scyoc and E. G. Silvess as assistants. April 12, at 8 P. M., we enjoyed a love feast, with twenty surrounding the Lord’s tables. – W. R. Shively, Elk Creek, Cal., April 24.
