Pleasant Ridge. – Brethren J. J. Shamberger and Peter Brubaker came to us Saturday, Oct. 17, to organize a church. Bro. J. L. Jordan was chosen as our elder; Bro. J. L. Ebie, church clerk; Bro. Lawrence Irvin, treasurer, Alsadie Mason, Messenger correspondent, at the organization it was decided to elect two ministers and two deacons, but as choice fell on three, that were son near a tie for deacon, it was decided to take three. Brethren John L. Ebie and John W. Priser were chosen to the ministry. Brethren W. Y. Smith, Ira Miller and Lawrence Irvin are to be installed later we now have thirty-six members in this church, but are scattered over quite a large territory. We have Sunday school and preaching services each Sunday. – Alsadie Mason, Milo, Alta, Can. Nov. 3.
