Dixon. – On the evening of July 7 the members living in and around Dixon met for the purpose of being organized into a separate congregation.  They were assisted in this work by Elders C. C. Price John Hickman and C. M. Suter. After instructions had been given, relative to the organization, the church unanimously agreed to adopt and sign a paper presented by Bro. Suter, whereby we pledge our selves anew to the live according to the doctrines and teachings of the Church of the Brethren. The church then made a choice of Eld. John Heckman as presiding elder for the remainder of 1908 and 1909.  This church, which was started a few years ago as a mission pint, has an enrollment fifty-three members. Among this number are two ministers and two deacons. Several items of business were considered at  this meeting. The spirit of the meeting was most excellent. The attendance of some visiting members added much to the inspiration of the meeting.  May the Lord abundantly bless the work that has been done. – Geo. W. Miller, Dixon, Ill., July 10.
