From Cerro Gordo, Ill.

  Started for Christian Co., Ill, the 4th of Mar.; stopped near Edinburg, where I met elder A. S. Leer, of Morrisonville; had three meeting.  We organized a church of about twenty members.  Elected Charles Cellenberger to the ministry, and Thomas Mathew, deacon.  The name of the church is South fork, under the care of elders A. S. Leer and Peeters.  Any ministering brethren traveling through that part of the country, can stop at Edinburg and hold a few meeting for these Brethren.   John Metzger.  Mar. 17th 1882.
