From Muncie, Ind.

On the evening of June 20 elders D. F. Hoover, D. H. Replogle, I. E. Branson, and J. W. Rarick, from the four adjoining churches, met with the members in the City of Muncie, Ind., to organize them into a congregation, The members all promised to work in harmony with the church in general, and to live up to the principles of the church, as defined by Annual Conference, Brethren W. H. Cooper, Henry Brown and Martin Funk were elected trustees. Bro. A. D. Bowman, was elected clerk and Bro. W. H. Cooper, treasurer. It was decided, It satisfactory with the adjoining churches, that Center township would be the territory for the new organization. This church will be known as the Muncie congregation.  The church decided to hold quarterly church councils. Our first church council was held July 14, at 7: 30 P. M. At this council brethren John M. Tarnsett and W. H. Cooper were elected deacons. They, with their wives, were duly installed.

After the forenoon services yesterday, July 17, we met at the riverside where two more, husband and wife, were added to the church.

May the Lord bless the work at Muncie! Brethren, pray for us! While we have much to encourage us, we meet with some discouragements. Our Sunday school is increasing in interest and attendance. To God belongs all the praise, May the mission work of the church continues to prosper.
