Plunge Creek Chapel. – Having felt it convenient and more profitable to have three separate congregations, instead of one, we, the members of the Eel River congregation, decided to organized three churches. We met June 24 at the East house. Adjoining elders present were Bro. Daniel Snell, foreman, Bro. Henry Neff, assistant. Brethren Samuel Leckrone, Gabriel Ulrey, Frank Neal and Manuel Leckrone were also with us.  Bro. T. D.  Butterbaugh was appointed as secretary of the organization meeting. Our new organization will be known as the “Plunge Creek Chapel.”  In the election of an elder, Bro. Otho Winger was chosen for one year. Bro. Roy Miller was chosen as church clerk, and Bro. Abram Cripe as treasurer.  The report of the adjusting committee, appointed by the Eel River church to make a settlement between each separate organization was read and accepted.  The secretary’s report was read. So far all seem to be in love and harmony with the work in hand. – Roy S. Mishler,  R. D. 1. Sidney, Ind., June 27.
