Dear Brethren: - John W. Metzgar and J. Rife, Missionaries of Southern Indiana, come among us and labored faithfully for one week, on the 5th of September a council was called to settle some difficulties which was done to the satisfaction of all present. We then had an organization, with twenty-four members and all present but two.  We call our church the Sampson Hill congregation, and under the supervision of brother R. H. Miller.  We have only one minister and one deacon, but it was decided that we should hold a choice in a month or so for a minister and a couple of deacons.  We also had a lovefeast which passed off pleasantly and we hop profitably. An aged brother, Leonard Stephens, was, anointed the next morning. We are thankful to the missionaries for their work of love among us.  Remember us in you prayers.   Jos. B. Sell
