South Whitley Church

 South Whitely Mission. – Dec. 11 we met at our hall, to be organized into a congregate. Two members of our Mission Board, Brethren J. W. Norris and Emery Miller, were with us; also the committee, Brethren J. C. Murray, J. H Wright and Henry Neff.  We organized with thirty-four members. Church officers were elected as follows: Bro. J. W. Brubaker, clerk; Bro. Frank Huffman, treasurer; Sister Grace Snell, Messenger agent; the writer church correspondent; Eld. L. U. Kreider, pastor; Eld. J. W. Norris, presiding elder. A committee of three was appointed to confer with the three adjoin churches to establish church lines., we also elected our Sunday-school officers, with Bro. Frank Huffman as superintendent, and Sister Grace Snell as secretary. We decided to name our congregation the South Whitley church. Our council meetings are to be held on the second Thursday of every month.  We have arranged for a series of meetings to be held in the near future.  We would be pleased to have visitors at any time, to assist us in our work. – Anna Brubaker, R.
