Kansas City. – Nov. 20 a council was held at this place for the purpose of organizing a church. The church then was named " Kansas City church." Three elders, I. H. Crist, I. L. Hoover, and G. E. Wise were with us. Bro. I. L. Hoover was chosen as moderator. Bro. I. H. Crist was elected as our elder. On the evening of the same day we held a love feast. On account of the small amount of room, not all could be seated. After the feast two young girls came forward, saying they wanted to be baptized. It was attended to the next morning. This being Sunday, we had song services, Sunday school and preaching services. Our first council meeting of the Kansas City church will be held the first Saturday in January, 1898, at 11 A. M.—Rebecca Armstrong, Argentine, Kans., Dec. 6.
