From Conway Spring, Kan.

On Oct. 11, I took the train for Kingman Co., Kan.  In the evening I met Bro. L. Hillery at the appointment, sister Hillery and sister Hetty Engle accompanying him.  On Monday, the 13th, was council-meeting.  the members unanimously agreed to organize a church. Accordingly the organization was effected.  Bro. S. H. Sprogle, late of Shannon, Ill., is the resident minister. Bro. J. Yiengst was chosen deacon, and the writer as their elder.  There are about thirty members in Kingman county.  On the morning of the 14th, Bro. H. and company started for their home in Reno county.  I remained till after the following Sunday.  Three precious souls made the good confession and were baptized.   John Wise

Kingman. – We dedicated our new church building Aug. 2. Bro. W. O. Beckner, our district secretary, of McPherson, Kans., was with us and delivered the dedicatory address.  After dinner in the grove we again met at the church for a Sunday-school meeting, conducted by our district secretary.  We feel encouraged to believe that our church is going forward, and we again invite any, who wish to change location, to locate with us. – Bertha A.
