Homestead.—-We have just closed a very interesting series of meetings here, with Bro. C. L. Wilkins, of Middleton, Mich., doing the preaching. He was with us two weeks, and expounded the Word so plainly that we all feel very much strengthened. Three precious souls came out on the Lord's s4de and were baptized,—a young man and his wife, and a young lady. We feel that others are almost persuaded. We now have twenty-one members here, three ministers (two of them young in years), and one elder. We expect to have an organized body of our own at Homestead about May 24. At present we are worshiping In a union churchhouse, but we hope to have a place of worship of our own in the near future. We feel very much encouraged. The good Lord has blessed us wonderfully. Two years ago we moved to Homestead, where only three of our members were living at that time, besides our own family. There are plenty of cheap homes here. We would be very glad if the Brethren would take advantage of this opportunity. Improved land, and improved farms with good buildings, can be bought for about fifteen to thirty-five dollars per acre. Any brother, who wishes to investigate this country, when he comes to Homestead, can inquire for Eld. Harshbarger or John Kay.—Allura Kay, Benzonia, Mich., April 1.

Homestead.—May 24, at 2 P. M„ we met at the home of Bro. John Kay, to organize a church Bro. J.  Edson Ulery. Of Onekama Mich. was with us; also two ministers. Brethren Chas. Deardorf 'and A. Weller, and their families; and other brethren and sisters from Harlow. "Homestead' was the name chosen for our church. Bro. John Harshbarger was chosen as our elder. Brethren Frank Sheet  and John Kay. and their wives were installed into the deacon's office. Brethren Chas. Harshbarger. C. H. Kaiser and Frank Sheets were chosen trustees. Sister Anna Harshbarger was elected secretary. Brother Hammon Kay, Messenger agent and the write correspondent. We then prepared to have our first communion.  Twenty-five brethren and sisters surrounded the Lord's table, —some for the first time- Eld, Ulery presided. It was a Spirit-filled, soul-inspiring meeting. We now have two sermons every two weeks,—morning and evening. We have a well attended Sunday-school. We have Young People's Meeting in the evening.— Allura Kay, R. D. 2, Benzonla, Mich.. June 1.
