Sister Elizabeth Tatlin writes from Harrisonville, Cass Co., Mo., as follow: “Nov. 29 we met at the house of Bro. Jacob Kircher for the purpose of organizing a church.  We organized with sixteen members, but there are five or six more in the county who expect to be with us.  Brethren C. Holderman and J. M. Mohler were the elders present.  We elected a full corps of officers, except a minister.  We chose Bro. P. S. Garman for our elder.  After we were organized, it was unanimously agreed that we would have a love-feast the same evening, at the same place, and I believe  I speak the sentiments of all when I say it was a love-feast in its fullest since.  If any one wants to work for the Lord, they can not find a better field than right here in Harrisonville.  The name of our church is the Eight Mile church.”
