Spring River. – A new organization has been effected at Aurora, Mo., a city of about nine thousand.  Oct. 27 Bro. Killingworth and Bro. Wyatt arrived here to attend to such work as they saw necessary. They held a glorious meeting on the night of the 27th.  Then, on the night of the 28th, they proceeded with the work. As we are in the bounds of the Spring River church, though thirty-five miles from the main body, it was decided that a new organization was necessary.  Letters were called for and read, the number being eleven.  These, with the members already in the Spring River church, make a total of twenty.  Two letters of membership were granted. It was decided to choose a deacon, Bro. B. F. Slambaugh was elected and installed.  A board to trustees, consisting of Brethren Peebler, Younce, Stambaugh and Wyatt was chosen. Sister Clemma Peebler, was chosen as church clerk and correspondent.  Bro. Wyatt, of Joplin, was chosen as elder.  Now we are thoroughly equipped and ready for work.  We are to be known as the Spring River church. – Clemma Peebler, Aurora, Mo., Nov. 2.

Spring River. – In the report of this place, of Nov. 2, I meant to say, “It was decided that a new organization was ‘unnecessary’.” Instead of “necessary.” Bro. B. F. Stanbaugh was chosen as deacon, instead of “B. F. Slambaugh.”  As there stated.  There are nineteen members with a radius of three miles of Aurora.  This number, with an old sister, living a distance east of her, makes a membership of twenty. If any other members of the Spring River church see this notice, we should like to hear from them.  We are arranging to have aa love feast in the near future, and would like to find out the spiritual condition of all the members of our congregation. – Clemma Peebler, Aurora, Mo., Nov. 16.
