Melvin Hill. – After our district meeting, Aug. 20, and 21, Bro. W. A. Reed remained with us until Sept. 3, holding meetings. Twenty-nine were baptized and six reclaimed.  Sept. 3 we commenced a series of meetings at Mill Creek church and continued until Sept. 7, closing with a love feast. Sept. 11 Bro. W. A. Reed and the writer began a series of meetings at a mission point near Hollis, N. C. the services were held in the open air and in private homes.  Sixteen were baptized and with the two members living near that place, we now have eighteen in all, and prospects are good for more accessions.  They were organized into a congregation known as the Mountain Creek church. Two were elected to the ministry and two as deacons.  – Geo. A. Branscom, Melvin Hill, N. C., Sept. 28
