Spring Creek church met in council at Palmyra. March 16, with Eld. J. H. Longenecker in charge. Eld. S. R- Zug was present also, and we were very glad to see him. It was decided to divide our large congregation of 475 members Into three congregations. Councils will be held to organize –in follows: At Spring Creek. March 23; Annville: March 25; Canowago, March 27. Eld. S. Z. Witmer impressively dwell upon the fact that our congregation worked In unity and love for many years. and he offered a fervent prayer that God would continue to lead us.—Edgar M. Hoffer. Canowago. – As the Spring Creek congregation was divided recently into three congregation, this section met in counsel March 27, at the Canowago house to effect an organization.  Elders S. R. Zug and S. H. Hertzler were present. Eld. Hertzler was moderator.  Elders Longenecker and A. B. Gingrich, and Brethren A. D. Bucher and John C. Zug were also with us.  We decided to name our congregation Canowago. We selected Eld. S. Z Witmer as the overseer of this congregation.  Bro. Jacob W. Brandt was elected to the deacon’s office.  He with his wife, was duly installed.  Bro. John S. Brubaker is our clerk; Bro. Jacob w. Brandt, treasurer. We took a collection of $92.50, with which to begin our church treasury.  The writer was chosen Messenger correspondent.  Three letters were received and one was granted.  We have a membership of 112.  Our ministers are Elders Daniel Hollinger and S. Z. Witmer and Bro. Aaron H. Hoff.  Brethren John F. Roozer, J. B. Aldlinger, William Gruber and J. W. Brandt are our deacons.  We have two churchhouse.  Brethren Hiram Gibble, Henry Westheaffer and J. S. Risser were appointed to be our missionary solleltors. – Edgar M.
