FROM LEAMERSVILLE, PA.

In the early part of 1904 the Duncansville church was divided into two separate organizations. One is named Carson Valley, the other Leamersville. The latter was placed under the eldership of David D. Sell and had at the start a membership of about sixty. A series of meetings was arranged to begin Feb. 1. Bro. C. O. Berry came on that date and continued till the evening of Feb. 17. He proved to be the right man for the place. Quite an interest was taken. Nine were baptized, three reclaimed, some arc awaiting baptism, and quite a number are deeply interested. We are hopeful for the future. One aged man on his deathbed made confession of his Savior and wished it to be publicly announced, but before he could be baptized he passed over the mystic river. We prayed for him while living, and at death committed his soul into the care of our loving Redeemer.

Bro. Beery's work as an evangelist was commendable. His preaching was scriptural-dwelling principally on the crucified Christ as a Savior of sinners. There was just variety enough of song, reading, praying and preaching in the service to break monotony, give it spice and keep up the interest. We are planning great things for the future of our church. We have a live corps of young members; preaching service every Sunday, Christian Workers' meetings every Sunday evening, good singing, a free library, good maps of Bible lands on the wall. A new meeting home is on the list by way of improvements. The sisters' mission band have agreed to furnish it when built, and have already put up the money for it. We pray that we may be kept humble and prayerful, that the Lord can use us to save many souls. Jas A Sell McKee Gap, Pa., Feb. 19.
