From Johnston Pa.

The Johnstown church, in special council in November, divided the church into two parts, The line passes almost due north and south through the city of Johnstown,

The western division met in special council Jan. 26, 1899. at the church in Roxbury Borough, and decided to call their church the West Johnstown church. The church home or love feast house will be located at Roxbury. The West Johnstown church will have preaching services at four different places, with an evergreen Sunday school at each place.

As the elder of the old Johnstown church lived in the eastern division, the West Johnstown church was left without an elder, but have selected Eld. Hiram Musselman, of the Shade Creek congregation, to have charge of this work until District Meeting of Western Pennsylvania convenes.

This church will have Solomon Dorer, Ananias Myers, J. F. Deitz and Albert Berkley as ministers in the second degree, and one minister in the first degree.

We hope that the Lord will continue to bless both branches of the Johnstown church in the future as he has in the past. N. W. Berkley. Jan. 31.
