Crowson Church, Tenn. – Brethren J. R. Wellington and D. R. Richards, of Indiana, and wives, arrived her July 7, and began preaching.  On Saturday, July 11, the organized a church at this place, of seventeen members.  Among that number were two preachers and three deacons. Bro. J. B. Lehman was advance to full ministry.  The brethren’s stay was short, but while with us they preached eleven sermons in all, which seemed to be very much appreciated.  Although there were no accessions to the church, some good impressions were made.  We greatly stand in need of a house of worship. What a vast field lies before us! We pray the Lord to send more labors into this part of the South.  The brethren and sisters left us July 15 for New Hope church, near McKenzie, Tenn., to visit that part of the South and to preach to the isolated members of that place. – C. W. Davis July 16.
