Church Organized. – Bro. Geo. C. Bowman, of Boons’ Creek, Tenn., came to the New Hope Church, Carroll Co., Tenn., Feb 13 and began meeting at once.  He preached twenty sermons in all, and the people expressed themselves as being will pleased with our doctrine.  Bro. Bowman, while here, organized our church.  Seven of our members live in this neighborhood, and several other members live some distance away.  On the evening of Feb. 20, we held a love-feast at sister Gaunt’s. On account of heavy rainfalls the meeting was not very largely attended by outsiders.  The Lord blessed the labors of our dear brother and as a result of his efforts two young brethren and two young sisters were received by baptism.  One dear young brother was baptized at our last meeting. – Charles W. Davis, April 14

Paris. – Bro. B. E. Kesler came to this place Oct. 23 and preached three sermons.  Oct 26 he went to Lankford, Tenn., accompanied by the writer and family, where we held regular council.  The name of this (New Hope) congregation will hereafter be known as Good Hope.  We send one paper to District Meeting. at the close of the council it was announced that Bro. Chas. Davis’ son, Ernest, had a desire to unite with the church.  Sunday just after preaching services we met at the water side for the purpose of performing the ordinance of baptism.  The applicant was not yet nine years old.  This makes eight baptisms since Oct. 27, 1900.  Bro Kesler will return the last this month. – Chas. E. Wills, Nov. 12.
