Nocona Church

(1889-)

The Gospel Messenger  April 30, 1889 page 283

One of the most enjoyable season we ever experienced since in Texas, was April 6, while quite a number of members from Clay and Cooke Counties and the Indian Territory met at Bro. Henry Brubakers’s, three miles north of Nocona, in Montague County, to organize a church, which is now known as the “Nocona” church, it was found that were over twenty members in the organization. Before the meeting closed, an invitation was given to anyone to join in with the church, and, to the joy of all present, four young souls expressed themselves as begin tired of sin and ready to go with the people of God.  The prospects for this church are  bright.  This church is situated in a fine country, and one that will bear investigation.  A.
