Notes of Travel.

I left Moscow on the morning of July 28, in company with Bro. A. F. Deeter, for Tekoa, by rail. Brother and sister Samuel Forney and sister Enyeart went in their hack. Bro. Deeter and I, after traveling about eighty miles, arrived at Tekoa in time for night meeting. Bro. Forney and the sisters overtook us the next day. We had two meetings at Tekoa July 30. Bro. Nathan Huffman conveyed us to Waverly, distant about fifteen miles. Here we had preaching Wednesday and Thursday nights with good congregations and good attention. On Friday we went to Spokane Falls, a distance of about thirty miles. Here we had a season of joy. Oar isolated members came from different parts of the country,-- happy that they could meet and greet each other. On Saturday we met with the members in council and completed the organization. About twenty-three members are now in this, the Spokane church. Brethren Samuel Forney and Daniel Cosner are their speakers. Bro. Daniel Enyeart is their deacon; Bro. Samuel Forney, clerk; Bro. Daniel Enyeart, treasurer and J. H. Powell, solicitor. This little band of brethren and sisters, after being organized, thought it good to have a feast, which took place on Sunday evening. It was a feast, indeed, to our souls.

On Monday morning we took the parting hand, with tears flowing from the eyes of our dear, isolated members. I am now at Medical Lake, holding forth the Word in weakness.

From Eastern Washington.

In January, 1890, brethren D. E. Price and Lahman came here to organize a church, but, owing to the fact that the membership was scattered and the roads and railroad were blockaded with snow, it was deferred.

A year or two later the organization was partially effected by brethren Dasher and Deeter, of Oregon. There the matter rested, with occasional visits by Bro. Faw, of Idaho, till last Saturday, Oct. 21, the day of the love feast at Tekoa, when twenty-four members, with Eld. S. H. Miller, of Sunnyside, Wash., and Bro. Ellis West, of Moscow, Ida., met at Bro. A. N. Huffman's and, after a visit preparatory to the evening feast, continued in council to complete, as far as possible, the organization. The name, Spokane church, was retained, and the church was found to consist of thirty-one members, twenty-four being present. J. Harman Stover was chosen clerk and Eld. Jacob Guinn, of Beemnn, Idaho, elder. In the absence of Bro. Guinn the council adjourned to meet in Spokane on the first Saturday in November, to complete the organization. At S P, M., all met at the Christian church in Tekoa, and, after appropriate examination services, surrounded the Lord's table and enjoyed a lovefeast, indeed. We shall never forget our first love-feast at Tekoa, and those from without, who never had been privileged to witness anything so practically Scriptural, will not soon forget.

At the close of the meeting it was found that the train just arrived, being several hours late, brought Bro. Guinn. Two elders now being present it was decided to go on and complete the work that would have come up at the council appointed for Nov. 4. At 3 P. M., the following day, we again met at Bro. Huffman's and, after correcting minutes of last meeting, and after discussing the future prospects of the church, proceeded to an election, which resulted in choosing brethren D. M. Click and J. Harman Stover to the ministry, and brethren A. N. Huffman and B. F. Click to the deacon's office. Much work and sacrifice devolve upon us here, such as is unknown to many of our dear Brethren who have the blessing of preaching every Sunday. But we feel this grand country ought to be taken for the Lord. At this last council Bro. B. F. Click was chosen Clerk and Correspondent and Bro. A. N. Huffman, Treasurer. B. F. Click.

Tekoa.—Sept. 27 we met in council, Eld. D. M. Click presiding. As Bro. Click expects soon to start on his trip around the world, he appointed Bro. J. H. Stover to act as housekeeper in his absence.  He expects to be gone about a year. The Spokane congregation being so large and so scattered, it was thought best to divide, so the part at Chewelah was cut off and is now called Mount Hope.  Seven certificates of membership were given at this council to members living in the new congregation and five given to members moving to other parts of the country, Bro. R. F. Hiner was elected to the ministry and Bro. G. S. Gale to the deacon's office. There seems to be a growing interest manifested in all our services. Our elder preached a very interesting sermon to the children Sunday night, Sept. 30. We are expecting to have a series of meetings in the near future, conducted by Bro. Graybill, of Nampa, Idaho.—Jennie K. Hale, Tekoa, Wash., Oct. 3.
