From Sunnyside, Washington

Bro. J. U. G. Stiverson, District evangelist for the State of Washington, came to Sunnyside, accompanied by his wife, Aug. 26. Bro. Stiverson preached for us on Sunday morning.

In the afternoon the members met at the home of the writer to organize a church. Bro. Stiverson presided at the meeting. The organization was effected with thirteen members enrolled. Eleven  church letters were read and handed in. the organization will be know as the Sunnyside congregation.  Eld. D. B. Eby was given charge of the new organization. Sister Kate Miller was elected church clerk; Bro Jacob Eby, treasure; sister Pratt, solicitor; sister Maud Miller, correspondent.

Bro. and Sisters Stiverson remained with us one week and preached for us. Our congregations were not very large, but the interest and attention were very good.  We expect Bro. Stiverson back again some time in November, at which time we expect to hold a love feast.

We have services each Lord’s day morning and evening at Sunnyside schoolhouse, four miles up the valley from Sunnyside. The attendance and interest at both places are growing. Altogether we have reason to be encouraged in the work in this valley.   S. H. Miller   Sunnyside, Wash.
