The Eucharist is celebrated each Sunday Worship Service at Lacey Community Church in the Christian (Disciples of Christ) tradition.

'Love Feast'
Celebrations of Last Supper
(Church of the Brethren tradition)

Twice a year, once on Maundy Thursday and again on World Wide Communion Sunday, a celebration of the Last Supper called a  'Love Feast' is held.  This includes a light meal, the washing of each other's feet as Christ did and the Eucharist.

All who profess Christ as their Savior and try to live by his example are invited to partake in these services.

(Those who are uncomfortable with the washing of feet need not participate in that part of the service. Anyone who would like to only observe or partake in any part of the service is welcome)

Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is my body."  And he took a cup, and when  he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, "Drink of it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."  Matt:26:26-28 RSV

Jesus Jesus rose from supper, laid aside his garments, and girded himself with a towel.  Then he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded. John 13:4-5 RSV
